As a progressive firm within the legal industry we offer exciting reform proof opportunities! We are currently looking for a Risk and Compliance Coordinator as part of our continued commitment to expand to join our team.

Main responsibility of the role

As a Legal Executive in the Employment and Public Liability Team, you will be responsible for running a caseload of EL/PL/OL matters from onset to completion. You will be required to demonstrate excellent litigation skills along with a knowledge of the CPR and EL/PL claims portal. Strong communication and client care skills will also be essential.

  • Run a caseload of pre and post issue files at a level to be determined by the Litigation Partner that is consistent with the budget.
  • Progression of files in accordance with the Litigation Plan.
  • Manage limitation for all EL and PL matters .
  • Manage workload and diary in particular post issue litigation files with regards to court directions .
  • Achieve performance targets including collective fee target, settlement target and individual fee income target.
  • Identify and report potential risks in accordance with the Accident Claims Lawyers procedures.
  • Any other ancillary duties as requested by your line manager.

Skills & expertise required

  • ILEX, LPC or similar qualification is desirable
  • Previous experience working within the PI industry is required with excellent working knowledge of PI law
  • Strong litigation and tactical skills are required
  • Previous experience of working on the telephone and dealing with a wide range of clients is required
  • Proven track record of working to targets and exceeding KPI’s set
  • Embrace ownership and accountability of objectives
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines, prioritise tasks and adhere to instructions issued
  • High level of organisation skills
  • Positive and communicative nature
  • High standards of presentation and efficiency
  • Work as part of a team and keen to assist others

The role will be primarily working from home, with access to office based close to Liverpool city centre also available.
